|Scaling properties of a parallel implementation of the multicanonical algorithm|

I will present a straightforward but efficient parallel implementation of the multicanonical algorithm together with the scaling properties for discrete energy systems, namely the Ising model and the 8-state Potts model. It will be shown that the parallel implementation yields a linear speedup for the Ising model, while the speedup is limited in the case of emerging barriers in the 8-state Potts model and thus large integrated autocorrelation times.
