Models of 2D statistical physics that become conformally invariant at the thermodynamic limit must be described by a CFT, but its identification may be difficult. Some crucial clues lie in the finite-size corrections to the free energy on the lattice, and their analytical calculation in integrable models remains a subtle and lengthy task. We propose a new derivation using distributions, that simplifies the problem.
