Gyration radiuses of a rosette polymers in disordered environment Khrystyna Haydukivska ICMP jeudi 26 octobre 2017 , 10h25 Salle de séminaire du groupe de Physique Statistique We analyze the universal size and shape characteristics of flexible rosette-like polymers in solutions in presence of structural obstacles. One encounters such situation when considering polymers in gels or colloidal solutions as well as in the crowded environment of biological cell. We use the model of long-range correlated disorder with impurities correlated on large distances $r$ according to power law $\sim r^{-a}$. Applying the direct polymer renormalization scheme, we obtain estimates for the universal size ratio of radiuses of gyration of a rosette and star-like polymers of the same molecular weight as well as size ratio of radiuses of gyration of a rosette and linear chain polymers. We limit our self to the case of a rosette with only one loop as this type of a structure occurs in cases of single loops on a chain polymer as well as for some configurations of loop in star-polymers. Our results qualitatively reveal the extent of effective size of rosette-like macromolecules in disordered environment.
